Any Microsoft Designer experts about?

Some time ago, my wife played about with some images in MS Designer to see if she could get on with it. She didn't like it, so subsequently deleted the files that she'd saved from her doings in it.
Long story short ... last week she found out that she needed some of those files, and the only copies we could find were the ones in her OneDrive account.
They now have the Designer project numbers as the filenames! When double-clicked, these opened in Designer edit mode (black background, orange "edit" label top left, zoom slider bottom right), from which page she downloaded each one in turn and recovered the files to her laptop. Or thought she had ...
What she now has is actually a folder of downloaded jpegs which, when double-clicked in the Windows "downloads" folder, open looking just the same as they were downloaded i.e. as an image on a Designer "Edit" page - not as a plain ordinary jpeg file!
How do I sort this mess out for her so that she once again has them as a bunch of plain ordinary jpegs which open in File Explorer without this Designer baggage?
