Marks on clothes

I had issues with black marks on clothes. I decided to buy a new washing machine as I never dried the rubber on the old one and it had black mould. I now dry it. 

Anyway I’m still getting marks on the clothes any ideas why? I can’t figure if it’s coming from the tumble dryer or the washing machine? The marks never seem to come out either meaning I have to keep buying new t shirts anybody got any tips?

A photo of the marks? Presumably you used the new supply pipe with the new washer rather than just reusing the old one?

The tumble drier could be the culprit but would be surprised

Tried a bit of Lenor and a cloth did remove the marks slightly bit got a rip or hole on clothes by doing so

You say it could be either of the 2 machines, I suggest you check next washed load before placing in dryer to see if washing machine the cause.

So dilemma is do i spend another £280 on a new tumble dryer? Is it the seals? Can’t see any damage. Google says it can be lint build up. I put t shirts back in no issues after cleaning lint but it doesn’t do it every time. I had the washing machine just under two years and tend to replace tumble dryers every 1/2 years too! Question is it fixable?

Unless I am thinking this is wrong but you buy a new tumble dryer every 6 months ?

We've had our John Lewis branded washer/dryer for a decade, I've never dried the seal (we can leave the door ajar between uses so the interior dries) and we don't get marks like this.

What brand of machine(s) are you buying to need to replace them every 2 years? 

How much are you loading into the machine and how frequently do you put a load on?

What was the cloth you were using?  A Brillo pad?  Either the T shirts are so thin they aren't worth trying to wash or you were using an incredible amount of pressure.
