    I have even given up on the idea of cooking a bit extra to 'create' leftovers...not a hope - everything gets scoffed in one sitting.

    I was brought up by frugal parents as a full paid up member of the Clean Plate Club :rotfl:... not good for the waistline though!

    Can someone please confirm that i am not going mad!!

    I have seen on here somewhere a spreadsheet where you can put in what you have in your cupboards and it gives you meal ideas.

    there's also a good website called lovefoodhatewaste.com which does a similar thing, if thats of any use.

  • Hello everyone,

    Just thought i'd share this with you, apologies if it's already been posted but for those who have an iphone you can download a free app called love food hate waste. I've used it twice now, it's brilliant..you can type in the ingredients you have in your cupboards/fridge and it brings up a recipe. Also has portion measures. I'm impressed with it.
