Afternoon Folks.
Recently got Guardianship for my Oldest, (18F, Not working, Not Education)
We have spoken about it with Solicitor and our Social Worker, and have asked that my Daughter contributes to the household, which both agreed she should, and we came to a figure of £230 per month.
Covers, Food, Council Tax, Internet, Electricity, and various other purchases (Takeaways, Feminine Products, Fuel etc)
We DO NOT get any benefits for her, or financial Support, Except Carers allowance.
She gets Approx £530 per month from Adult Disability, and doesnt spend a penny, After the £230.
Anyway Does this money need to be declared to UC. I assume it does, just wanted to check before hand

Ah cheers folks.
I wasn't sure, as it's income non the less, just not earned.
She has in her own account approx £1k, but in another account under her real father's name 20k or so1 -
Oh actually it probably doesn’t matter if she’s on a non-means tested benefit.pr0xibus said:Ah cheers folks.

Are you asking how receiving this money affects your own claim?
Or how giving you this money affects any benefits she may have?
Because the answers you have received seem to be about both1 -
The money is in an account under her dad's and her name.
Asking on how this would affect our claim. My daughter doesn't get UC only ADP2childmum2 said:Are you asking how receiving this money affects your own claim?

Your claim would be unaffected as the money is treated as what I would call housekeeping or board money..1
