De'Longhi UK coffee machine repair

I sent my coffee machine for repair to De'Longhi, paid £190 and, despite claiming to have fixed it, they returned it with exactly the same faults. I have sent a recorded letter to their UK head office, and I'm now about to send a follow-up one "LETTER BEFORE ACTION". I have tried calling them, using the Chat, emails, and they just don't answer. This is all very time consuming and frustrating, and I can't help wondering whether there is a more fundamental problem with this company. I worked in finance for decades and I have never seen anything like it, unless there was a going concern issue.

Is there a specific question or is this just a vent?

Other than needing to drink a lot of coffee 🤣

Just how old & what is the issue?

Got mine during covid & still works fine, but does require descaling more as it gets older.

I assumed that having worked in financial services for decades they never expected to experience such incompetence ever again.

If you end up having to go to court do you have an expert opinion that confirms that the unit is still faulty?
  • As De'Longhi doesn't answer the phone, Chat, emails, not even letters, I was hoping someone in their business would see this message and finally get in touch. If you know a way of getting through to them I would be interested to hear, otherwise I'm happy to continue being ignored by the public at large.

I doubt anyone from De'Longhi are on here, and even if they were, you shouldn't trust them unless they have been verified by the forum team.
