I haven't been into that Spitalfields shop in ages! I used to go there all the time when I had a class in the area.
I am dropping off a donation bag today, but I might have a quick look around. I read that collared jumpers are a trend for Autumn so I might look for one in there.

Loving that first dress!
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!7 -
@Rosa_Damascena I love the third dress!
And yes to Saffron Walden. Also lots of lovely artisanal food shops there…

Having a mini break in London with DH.
We’re staying near Earls Court and spotted a couple of CS the first was a local hospice one and incredibly expensive: £35 for shoes. Also the guy behind the counter came out and ostentatiously rearranged some boots (£60 and needed re-heeling)) that I had picked up so we thought sod you and left the shop.
in Oxfam just down the road I found a lovely Phase Eight denim dress for £7 so CS faith restored.10 -
I went to a few shops in Leigh yesterday as I bought myself a dressing table and stool from Amazon and I wanted some storage to put my makeup in. I found a white marble effect storage box in the Southend Hospital shop for my makeup and then a clear vase to store my brush and comb in another shop. They were £5 all together.

Not finding many bargains in the chazza shops these days. Still getting bargains from the local car boot sale tho. Pity it finishes for the year next week 😕
Yesterday's finds - a b/n Uniqlo dress in sludge green £3 and a lavender @ white Seasalt long sleeved tshirt for £1.

I was in Shepherd's Bush yesterday - there are 3 chazzers in a row opposite the green, just down from the station, all of them outrageously priced. £2.50 for a paperback is not going to make it onto my bookshelf!

Only one purchase today, an IKEA Hemnes three drawer chest for £15 from the Sobell House warehouse shop. I was pleased with this as it matches the other furniture in the spare bedroom which I have turned into a part dressing room/part sewing room. If I’d bought it new it would have been £199 and I would have had to assemble it 🤣.
I checked the drawers before buying it, primarily to ensure nothing was broken, and discovered a big pile of paperwork much of which was confidential. I handed this to the volunteer on the till who shrugged and said “oh, okay, I’ll put it in the bin for you”. I pointed out that there was a lot of important and personal info which the furniture donor would probably like to have back (DVLA vehicle docs, banking stuff etc) and as the item had a sticker with a donor ID number (probably to reclaim VAT) it would presumably be easy enough to let the person know. The lad on the till seemed completely disinterested, so I don’t know whether anything will happen.
I just need to get the chest of drawers out of the car and up the stairs now, but that will be after I’ve had a cup of tea. 😁

That kind of attitude makes me cross. Being a volunteer is no great act of magnanimity if you pick and choose in the role!
Speaking if furniture - I bought myself a lockable cabinet the other day as an addition to my filing cabinets, you can never have too much storage and I have a spot that is just right for it! Looks like it has been discontinued (no bother to me) but is like one half on this item: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/ikea-ps-cabinet-white-10251451/ .No man is worth crawling on this earth.
