After a week of resisting temptation, (a Boden denim dress and a Country Casuals navy jumper with multi coloured small embroidered dots all over it), I succumbed today….. A pair of TU petrol blue 'girlfriend' jeans for £4.45, a cream ME+EM merino wool hoody top for £3.99 and 2 books - Deliciously Ella & Delia's Vegetarian Collection, 50p each. All from Thirsk 😊

OH is in a tizzy about his car that needs fixing before we go on holiday in about a week. So when I was at Taxco I looked at their charity book shelves and someone had left a number of recent issues of Private Eye. I thought they would be a nice diversion for him.

@Miró - lovely top and I hope you enjoy the cookbooks.
I went a bit mad in Oxfam in Summertown yesterday and spent an enormous amount of money so here is what I bought. First an Aretha 2cds, a Gloria Gaynor 2cds, Flanders and Swann and Tom Lehrer single cds and a very cute mini cake stand which was £1.99.
Then in the music books section I found these two song books which were £19.99 for the two and an unusual shape Pyrex dish.
And last of all I found this Harold McGee 2004 revised edition £11.99 and this fascinating book about women in the American West £3.99 and a pretty copy of Heartburn for £2.99. The book about American women includes both black settlers and the stories of Native American women too and has lots of photos, diaries, letters etc.

@goldfinches Love Tom Lehrer….so funny and clever!

Hear, hear, Tom Lehrer is Great Fun! And he put all his songs into the public domain so you don't have to pay anyone or ask permission to perform them…

Very envious of the ME+EM top @Miró - I don't know if you watched The Split but it was one of the brands Nicola Walker's character wore for filming. Lovely clothes, but a bit too expensive for my wallet. I'd wear that under a blazer or a denim jacket, what a bargain though.
