Thank you - very useful info. I have passed it all onto Mum (and managed to dissuade her from buying a £14 grab rail from Am*zon...). I don't think she's yet in the realms of lots of other specialist equipment, but the waiting time comment is noted.

I do have a Lasting Power of Attorney (?) but we haven't yet used it, but good point, thank you
