Interest Overpayment……. Aware of the issue

What was the point of advertising this? Hopefully they will let you keep the interest on the interest before it all gets reversed and corrected on Monday?0
-
It sounds like they will take it back, I think that is what they mean by "correct position".0
-
I expect the entry will just be amended and compound interest calculated based on that. They probably put up the notification because they were receiving calls about it (and perhaps had to block some attempts to withdraw it).Rich2808 said:What was the point of advertising this? I'm no longer seeing the warning banner. But I've still got the incorrect interest in my account.0
-
Just looked. The banner is still showing on the home page of the website0
-
Banner is still showing for me. There is an x to dismiss it, which would presumably result in it not being seen any more if you pressed it, closed the website and then checked again later (without clearing cookies at least.)0
-
Ah, presumably I got rid of the banner at some point. I still expect my £83 interest to disappear at some point and be turned into a more reasonable £15.0
-
Very strange that NOTHING seems to have happened yet.0

You have forgotten about the great TSB meltdown in 2018.This was a full scale bank with daily payments in and out which where all paused, customers even being able supposedly to view other peoples accounts within their logon - if they could log on at all and it took several weeks to resolve.By comparision this is "just" a minor problem.2
