That would make sense about the height /weight chart being on the same page @bubbs as the stuff above mentioned the unhealthy lowest target (where they'd ask you to leave after 4 weeks of trying) being right at the lowest end on the chart.

Interesting that there's nothing about target members and grace week frequency of WI? 🤔 Might it be in the booklet they give you on reaching target? I'd have thought it should  be in the main new book as an incentive.

    Good morning all,

I have weighed in and it’s as I thought - I’m a stone over target. This has yo-yo’d and crept on in 2025 so I need to address it and stop kidding myself!!

I’m just having a tea and will post food plan later. I’m not at work until Wednesday so no excuses.

Sorry things are tough @Longwalker x.
    Good luck @beanielou 😳.
Annoying about the pork @joedenise but at least you realised and had an alternative meal choice!

    Morning all 😁

We have snow! The car and ground is covered, but the thing is it was freezing before this fell, which was between 11-2 as i got up at 2 and it had been dumped 🤣

Coxy, now you know where you stand, move forward and chip away .

Maman, wasn't giving one but as everything seems dumped in the new book, might be in there, not read it all yet. Also bread is 70g for a fibre choice now

Morning all, it's extremely frosty this morning.  We don't often get frost being near the coast - think it's only about the third or fourth time since we've lived here which is 25 years!  We've had snow once and couldn't get out of the village!  Forecast temperature max is 1 degree today but not until lunchtime!

Just stick to plan @Coxy11 and that extra weight will come off over time.  Now that the festivities are over it'll be easier I'm sure.  I've been sticking to plan but still end up having around 10 Swips most days, think I need to try cutting them back a bit.

    Today's plan:

B - muffin, smashed avocado, poached egg - HEB; HF(?) P
    L - celery soup - S; F
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips, green veg

    HEA - milk
    HEB - muffin
HEF - avocado (wondered what to call Healthy Fat - anyone got a better suggestion?)
Syns - none planned but may have a slice of bread with the soup 3

    Have a good day everyone.

I decided as everyone in my house is back to work today, I would walk to the next nearest town (beginning with S @joedenise). I set off at 9am and arrived at 10:20am. Took two bags of soft plastics with me plus £80 cash to pay in from a FBMP sale on Saturday.

Picked up some toothpaste, floss and iron tablets whilst there. Bank machine rejected the cash so I paid it in at the counter. Really hoping it’s just due to fold lines and not fake - again!

Now back home via village cafe where I had a decaf coffee to thaw out. This came with a single lookilikey Lotus biscuit, so I’m counting that as 2?  Had it been wrapped I would have left it. I’ve put a second load of washing on plus had lunch. Step count currently 20,060 for today. Whoop.

    Food today:
    B - satsuma, banana - S, free
    L - JP, LO veg chilli - 1, S
    D - tuna pasta bake - P, free, S, HEA
    HEA - milk
HEB - 20 almonds - hoping this is still allowed as an HEB?
    Syns - 3 so far.

Go steady everyone. Lots of icy pavements here. Don’t envy our Scottish contingent the snow. @bubbs - that came down quickly. Hope you can still get out and about?

Well done walking into S @Coxy11 - that's a fair old distance; wouldn't like to do it from where I live even though it's my next nearest town!

Those biscuits are 2 Syns/Swips each @Coxy11 - they used to be 1.5 when I first started SW but they to have shrunk but gone up to 2 - so unfair.  I hate the way they change the syn/swip values when there doesn't seem to be a good reason for it.  It's a bit like bottles of wine, they used to be 30 syns now they're 36 (I think!).

Agree about the icy pavements and just glad I didn't need to go out today other than putting the bins out ready for collection tomorrow morning (no way am I putting them out first thing!).

I’ve done the new year weigh in today and since 22/12 I’ve gained 1.7kg (3.7lbs)
I’ve a bit of work to do over the next 8 weeks as I am 2lbs out of the top of my target range and I want to be at the bottom end before my hols. 8lb in 8 weeks should be doable but I’ll settle for anything as long as it’s a loss.

    todays plan
B  plain Greek yogurt and blueberries
L bovril and cucumber sandwich -HE
D bacon and pea pasta using LF cream cheese so will be syns cos I don’t think it was a HE anymore
snack this evening baby bels and cubed cheese - HE

So had the final blow out over the weekend -  my usual crisp butty which I have every Saturday , then I did the usual CBA Saturday night tea of pasta with a creamy chilli sauce made with dairy lea lights and prawns . Sunday started with scrambled eggs on two slices of nimble bread, but then it all went to pot when I had friends around - to use up all the crap that was still here - crisps , Pringles etc - and I consumed more then one

However me and he had words and after I cooked I beautiful Chinese meal - I took myself to bed

My god we have had  - SNOW  - two days of it  - and no gritters and I had to be in work at 5am - scary , but much better coming home again at 10

So far today I have had a huge bowl of fruit and yoghurt with some bio and me for a bit of added crunch and interest. Lots of interest in the fruit - a pear, a banana , blackberries, blueberries and redcurrants - a mix of fresh and frozen

Im cooking mince tonight, beef mince with onions , carrots and red lentils. Ive a cauliflower in the fridge and sprouts - so a speed and free meal - only I dont like it lol. Although if I do roasties I might like it enough to sit and eat some

There's some cooked gammon in the fridge and we have loads of eggs. - I might do something with that

@Maman , walking has gone by the by. My walking buddy retired work to look after her 3 grandchildren and to do her sons accounts so I never see her anymore , my other walking buddy can only do Sundays - so its just me and the dog now - which while I still get out, its not the social thing anymore - so not so enjoyable

It's been a tough year. I had a ten week wait for a red flag referral for a breast lump, you can imagine I went through hell and back more then once.  I just seriously got the OK from that when my little sister rang - he husband was seriously ill in hospital with a Portal Vein Thrombosis -- that's life shortening in its self. It was while they were looking at why that happened,  they diagnosed him with one of the rarest , most aggressive cancers there is. There's no survival yet he has to be aggressively treated with chemo and transfusions to stop it hitting the brain for as long as possible - hes 58. So apart from 2 days over Christmas he has been on a regime of chemo for 3 hours on - 6 hours off - every day and then every 4th or 5th day he has platelets transfused into his spine. He now has no immunity at all so now starts his period of isolation till they can get him stable enough for a stem cell transplant . Of course the chemo is causing its own hell

And they live in Australia- so its not like I can support as I would like too

So yep , we are having it tough

We had a very light dusting of snow overnight too. It's still on the north facing side of the house but not at the back where the sun has been.

I'm not surprised about the bread @bubbs as those Sheldons rolls and the Aldi wholemeal baps that I have are 60+ each and they are both HEAs.

HEF makes sense for the Healthy Fats @joedenise I wonder what the official name is? Perhaps C? 🤔

Well done for biting the bullet @Coxy11 so now you know what you're dealing with. Body Magic will help too. 👍

That's not a bad gain @Matron_Midge and 1lb a week is achievable to get you well back in target.

I'm going to have to keep doing 'good when I can'. I've allowed myself 60 swips from today until my Friday WI and then hopefully a straight week next week. I'm expecting to be about half a stone over at least.

I finally did the red cabbage from veg wars today so that's in the SC.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- pork stir fry (P, S)
    D- Veggie chilli and rice (P, S, F), cottage cheese (P)
    Swips - none planned
