Welcome @jwil to our lovely shiny new thread. Your weight loss is awesome.

I’m not getting back on the SW wagon until at least February as my mum is having a big operation next week and will be coming to mine to recuperate for a few weeks.

Then you will most defo have to try them!
They are sliced potatoes cooked in cream with a slight hint of garlic. They have a lovely crusty top from the oven. ”Proper” ones are creamy and luxurious and I doubt the SW ones will be as good but we live in hope. If they aren’t as good as I’m hoping then I shall revert to doing lyonnaise potatoes which are sliced potatoes and onions cooked in stock in the oven - these are free and have speed in too so nothing will be lost.

    Morning all

Stupidly weighed myself this morning and have put on 1lb, but to be fair it is period week and I was raiding the chocs still yesterday watching the Stranger Things finale (the stress!). Away this weekend so will be fully on plan from the 5th.

Am doing Dry January so hopefully calories saved there will combat anything non-SW friendly over the weekend!

    Have happy days all.

Morning all, it's another very cold one but not as bad as the North is forecast.  Do any of our Scottish people live in the snowy areas?  Keep safe if you do and if possible just stay indoors.  Our max for today is 3 degrees, brrr!

Normal WI day today and pleased to say I have lost 2.7lb since I weighed the morning after our return (Tuesday).  That's a good loss for me as all the regulars will know!  It helps that no alcohol has been consumed this week.  Another hoping to do Dry January but we'll see!  At least by trying I won't be drinking as much as usual.

Welcome @jwil.  I'd seen you'd lost weight over the last few months as have been following your diary.  That's a great loss over the time.

@Matron_Midge  - I suspect that the dauphinoise potatoes will be made with Quark to keep them Free so not as creamy as the real thing but hopefully nice enough - we can but hope.  I haven't done lyonnaise potatoes for a long time.  Used to do them quite regularly years ago when I first started SW (2010).  Go really well with roast meats, particularly lamb, I think.

Need to pop to the butchers today as didn't get there on Wednesday as my friend who I went shopping with told me they were closing at 12.00 after we'd got into town and done our shopping.  It was about 11.45 by then so no point in driving up there.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
    L - spicy carrot and lentil soup, - P; S; F
    D - Pizza, chips, salad - HEB; P; S; F (I assume yeast is Free!)

    HEA - milk/cheese
    HEB - WM flour
Syns - may have a small ice lolly 6

    Have a good day everyone.

Welcome jwil, well done on your loss. Sorry didn't see your post, thanks for info 3rd, i go to group Saturday see what damage i have done over Christmas, as long as i am in target i will be happy 🤣
I have been going to group since 2016, target since 2017 but know i would not be at target if i didn't go to group
Thank you :)  Your food always looks amazing.  I have a Saturday group too.  I lost 3.5lb last week, but that was due to illness rather than any great effort on my part :D  It was a nice boost though.  I've tried to do it at home, but I definitely need the group to keep me going.
