Happy New Year Everyone - and welcome to SWIPS - what a mouthful lolI may have been a tad too complacent about the STS last week, this week even though I have been remarkably good - no more wine or Baileys and back to plan ( ish ) I think last weeks excessive's ( which weren't many ) have reared their ugly heads and I might be top of target come Saturday - not helped by air frying last nights chips in goose fat - they were HEAVEN
A top tip ladies who love chocolate - Buy the ruddy expensive stuff. Mum had a rush of blood to the head and bought me the biggest chest of Hotel Chocolat selection Ive ever seen - as did the in-laws . Then the christmas crackers were from there as well - all containing a Freddo sized chocolate . So all this chocolate and Im scared, Im the one who will politely take a strip of a bar - and then when everyone is in bed - snaffle the whole bar - cheap chocolate is full of fat and sugar and does the mouth feel so well. I seriously just have one of the Hotel Chocolat - one - it's enough - so rich but not in a claggy mouth feel way . There's more cocoa then fat - even in the milk chocolateAnd if anyone wants to wean themselves off chocolate for life? Buy Dairy Free . OMG - DISGUSTING. I actually spat one out ( had a dairy free house guest so made sure there were treats for him - said a lot to me that he left them lol )I still have to keep my food choices free as I still drink. But I find Christmas quite easy. It's a roast turkey dinner - loads of speed and protein and fibre. I even bought extra light mayo for the Marie Rose sauce and told mum ( she makes the cocktails ) to leave a handful of prawns out of the sauce so mine weren't dousedAnyways I got today off ( watched Stranger Things from the start of season 4 ) and have been chowing down on the fruit and yoghurt - did anyone get the mixed fruit platters? Not cheap but the price of a box of choccies and it was all prepped and looked lovely, I got 5 - all FoC - all being dumped - a couple of raspberries had gone over0 -
I checked the local forecast for tomorrow and no sign of snow! Don't know why we got a severe weather warning from the Met Office via the local online paper. Looks like it's going to be very cold but sunny!
Got all the washing done, dried (mainly in the TD although some outside) and put away. Will leave the bedding until early next week I think.
Fireworks weren't too bad here although the local pub had some but that was fairly early about 8pm. Didn't go to bed until about 11pm but struggled to get to sleep and just as I was dozing off the fireworks started again, a neighbour had warned me earlier that they were having some people over and a "few" fireworks - they went on for nearly half hour os didn't get to sleep until gone 12.30! Woke up at 4 to go to the loo and then couldn't get back to sleep properly and just dozed on and off until 6.30 and decided to get up.
I'm looking forward to the naan breads and dauphinoise potatoes. Any idea what date they'll be in Iceland?

I'm just delurking to say hello!
I've been doing SW for around 6 months now, and lost just over 2.5st so far. I've got a long way to go! I am going to group as I need the support and motivation.
@joedenise the new SW stuff should be in Iceland from 3rd Jan.

Thank you for the new thread @beanielou (I hope the weather will not be as bad for you as forecast).
WI at group yesterday just gained 1/2 lb in the 3 weeks I did not attend and a nice surprise as A had put 2 weeks holiday on for me so started again paying just for yesterday. Several pounds gained over the last few weeks to lose and it will be hard at this time of the year.
Had the new book yesterday and get all the details next week.
Cold gammon, bubble & squeak probably with a side plate of salad for tea, almond milk rice pudding in slow cooker for OH, will not eat more than a desert spoon as I forgot and used sugar not sweetener.
I somehow just lost a whole paragraph so I will just say great to see some old faces and say hello to new ones.

I’m also going to hunt down the naans and dauphinois potatoes at Iceland. They’ll be a lovely addition to curry night/roast/steak
Back to work tomorrow but only for a morning at our satellite surgery. Won’t be where the digital scales are so that will have to wait till Monday.I’ve planned up until Thursday for meals but I have to say that there is a lot of “using up” going on and I think my meals for the next week will be pretty swip heavy until I shop next Thursday. We also opened a box of my absolute favourite cherry liqueur chocs last night and I can’t keep out of the box 😳 Hopefully they will all be gone by Monday too.1
