Uber eats service

Recently ordered food from a fast food restaurant app who used Uber Eats to deliver the food
On arrival the food was completely cold so I contacted Uber eats who said that as it came within their set delivery time this was considered acceptable and so no help or refund would be granted .
How is it considered acceptable to deliver cold food to customers who are payingfor this and this thought of as appropriate and acceptable.
This definitely needs more investigation, espcially when uber eats has no complaints department contact.

There's no general requirement for businesses to have a "complaints department".
Though if you didn't make the order via Uber Eats, why aren't you complaining to whoever you actually bought from?0 -
What was the food you ordered? McFlurry?RainbowLil90 said:Recently ordered food from a fast food restaurant app who used Uber Eats to deliver the food

Uber Eats is just an agency which brings together you the consumer, hundreds of restaurants and a number of what they call 'delivery partners'. Sometimes the delivery partner is Uber Deliveries, a different company.
The only parameter that Uber Eats seems to be able to measure or take control of is the delivery time, ie. the time from when the restaurant says the food is ready to when the delivery guy says he's delivered it, and Uber told you they delivered within their stated delivery time. Did they do that?
There are hygiene laws about temperature of cooked food - did you measure the temperature of the food you received?
My sister-in-law only eats food when it has gone almost cold by most people's standards. It is annoying to go to a restaurant with her - each course takes an age for her to finish. These things can be very subjective.0 -
How long was the food sitting ready for pick up before it was actually picked up?0

Doesn't need investigation.RainbowLil90 said:

You used a fast food delivery service
The fast food delivery service didn't perform to a satisfactory standard
Don't use the fast food delivery service again.3 -
I'm surprised that anyone is surprised that fast food (which in my experience is very rarely properly hot even when eaten on the premises) is not hot once it's been transferred to a padded bag, ridden/driven across town in near-zero temperatures, walked to a front door, walked to a table and unwrapped before being eaten.
It's a mystery that definitely needs more investigation. Why can't food defy the laws of physics?3
