Rear wheel smacked

Depends on what age of Passat, and possibly also spec.
Some have a simple torque-arm rear suspension which will need replacing wholesale.
Some have multi-link rear suspension, and it might be a single component or it might be the entire subframe that's damaged.
It's not warranty. Collisions are never covered under those.1 -
As well as the suspension damage maybe you have also broken the ABS reluctor ring or sensor which could account for some of the dash lights.1

My Partner had a relatively minor bump, but because they were unable to track it to perfect they wrong it off, £12K payout, minor wing damage and door scrape. Car was back on the road.
Really need it into a garage for an estimate, you might need to claim off your insurance.

Ive done some digging and found mine has - "steel rear axle subframe crossmember (beam) designed for an independent multi-link suspension system".
I am not clued up with all this, only the basics - is this good or bad?
Ive called a few garages today and im looking 2-3 weeks for them to look, I cant just get it somewhere quick either as needs towing.
I will try and get it in somewhere to be looked at, but my problem is work and I need a car, so I may need to cut my loses if im looking 2 or 3 weeks to get it in just to be told whats happening.
A way to see the new year out on

It really needs somebody to have a look. It might just be a single link that's bent. It might be a couple. It might be the entire subframe...sassy_one said:Ive done some digging and found mine has - "steel rear axle subframe crossmember (beam) designed for an independent multi-link suspension system".

I have managed to get RAC to come and have a look in a few days time, hopefully they will be able to give me some idea? Of damage caused and likely resolution

Why not try the simplest thing first before getting in a big panic ??
Put the spare wheel on & see what happens ??

They've already said the wheel is not pointing in the right direction. Putting another wheel on isn't going to make a difference... sounds like it looks like this...greyteam1959 said:Why not try the simplest thing first before getting in a big panic ??
