British Gas login problems

I have been unable to log into my online energy account for about 3 weeks.
On my laptop, I get the error "Sorry, we're having technical problems at the moment. Either stay on this page and try again in a few moments, or please try again later."
On the iPhone app it's "That didn't work. Your email and password are not recognised. Please check and try again."
I've changed passwords, cleared cache, changed browsers to no effect.
I've contacted online chat about it twice and they have now referred the problem to a 'dedicated team' who will take 7-14 days.
It took them about 9 months to sort out my billing and meters (including having two new meters installed) so I like to log on regularly to make sure it's still OK.
Am I alone in this - or do others have this problem.?

Oh yes! I now take it as normal 😵💫 usually it doesn't recognise my account number and this has gone on since they changed the system over.
They've twice accused me of not paying when I have and my banks dedicated line refers them to chat. Even passed me to debt collector.
They do still have a phone number. I've found they help after a long wait of course.
If you have real problems I just use post to the complaints department. Now keep paper records of everything including payment.

I can access my account just fine both in a browser and in the app (Android). I don't recall having any problems logging in in the nearly 2 years I've been with BG0
