Amazon Marketplace Rights

Hi, I brought a coat from Anazon site but apparently not direct from them.  The Size is not correct so I went to try and return it and it says its not eligible under their scheme and I need to contact seller, what are my rights. It was delivered on the 28th of December so is etoll within 14 day distance selling period.  Can Amazon sort it or am I at the mercy of someone else?

Your rights are against the Marketplace seller to start with.

When you say size is not correct. Have they sent the size you ordered, only it is too small/big. Or they have sent a Med, but you ordered large?

The size is relevant, as the consumer rights are different depending on whether it's a return due to a change of mind return or a fault.

The size is relevant, as the consumer rights are different depending on whether it's a return due to a change of mind return or a fault. 

Distance selling, reason is irrelevant, there is an absolute right to return the item unless it was bespoke, personalised, perishable or in the hygiene category.

Return of marketplace sales are not dealt with. by  Amazon initially. That may be why the OL was told it was returnable to Amazon. 

They are dealt with by the seller.

The OP needs to contact the seller.

If problems arise after contacting the seller then the OP can  contact Amazon, as per the link above.
