Advice on declaring claim when getting renewal quotes

Hi, I am just in the process of getting quotes to renew my car insurance. In December 2024 we had a thankfully relatively minor accident and had to make a claim for the car to be repaired (the value of the claim was 5.5k). All was settled and is fine.
It was my car and the policy is in my name but my partner (a named driver on the policy) was driving at the time as we were sharing a 300 mile trip.
When I fill in price comparison websites do I need to declare it as a claim against myself (as it was my policy), my partner (as she was driving) or do I need to declare it as a claim against both of us. In which case it might cause confusion as the insurance companies may think that it is 2 separate claims.
I also had a glass claim (stone chip cracked windscreen in line of vision) back in 2022, I assume that I need to declare this too?
Any advice much appreciated. Thanks

The question is two fold. Have you had a claim on your policy in the last year and second have you had an accident in another vehicle. People do tend to ignore they wrapped the company car/van/truck round a lamp post - that was on the company insurance. In theory you are supposed to declare all accidents but when you scrape the gate post you tend to pay for it rather than claim and say nothing.1

Thanks, though I'm a bit confused as to how that answers my question. But to answer your queries, yes I had a claim on my personal insurance policy 12 and a half months ago (though my partner was driving not me) and no, I have not had an accident in any other vehicle in that time.
When the accident occured in mid December 2024 my partner called her own insurer to report it and also made sure it was included when she renewed her own car insurance in the Summer.
The price comparison / insurance sites say "have you had a claim in the last 5 years, if so please state date, value, type etc".
Then when I add my partner as a named driver the same question appears again.
So what I wondering is if I need to put it as a claim against myself (as the policy holder), a claim against my partner (as the driver) or if I need to put it as claim for both of us (type the accident date, value etc in twice). In which case I could see the insurance companies thinking that 2 separate claims were made in December 2024 even though there was just one.0 -
Can you give them a call? I know everybody says it is done online but your query perhaps needs asking of a person.0

My advice is to answer the questions truthfully. Without knowing the questions on your renewal note no one can give any other advice.Mortgage free
