    Hi,

Define "good".  They will be just as effective as any other similarly rated electric heater.

They may be noisier/quieter, more/less reliable, uglier/prettier, cheaper/more expensive compared to others but their heating capability will be exactly the same as another heater with the same rating

I was asking specifically if anyone has used this particular brand of heater

So you are asking about noise and reliability, and your reference to the size of the room was irrelevant?

Not trying to be difficult but sometimes there is a lack of understanding that in terms of heat output, only the rating matters and heater type/ brand is irrelevant (unless we're talking about infra red, or heat pumps where slightly different considerations apply).

I haven't actually mentioned noise just wanted to know if anyone has actually used this brand of heater. Thanks

I'd guess they are probably no better or worse than any other electric oil filled radiator. A similarly rated unit from any manufacturer  will give the same amount of heat and cost the same to run.

In the end it comes down to how pretty, attractive or unobtrusive they may be and the cost of buying them. Something similar from B&Q, Tool station etc may cost a bit less, may not be as attractive but it will still produce the same amount of heat and cost the same amount to run as something twice or even ten times the price.

At least with Toolstation or B&Q etc you can go and sort it out in person rather than getting something that you've never heard of from a single supplier which appears to be the case with Osily.

I'd guess that as they seem to be pretty obscure as a manufacture and their website says that they are exclusively available from YESSS you'll find that there wont be many people who have them.
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Thank you I'm now going to wait until the surveyor comes next month from Cosy Homes (they offer grants for storage heaters through my local council) and see what he says.
  • Very similar to what I use in my hallway , they are super quiet and look decent , but …. Not cheap to run like a storage heater is

I use mine on a timer so the hallway is warm throughout the day , to stop damp etc in the colder months

Very expensive to use as main heating so wouldn’t recommend
