Deb 4, I am sorry to hear about your Mum's health problems. I hope she has a diagnosis very soon. xx
Energy shifter, Lovely work, lovely little table. If you have tools and FB, ask on a local site if anyone has any wood. Also look on marketplace. People often give coffee tables away which you could cannibalise.
A dry if not warm day forecast so I will at least have a go at a bit of weeding in the front garden. I do seem to have beaten the bind weed but not the mare's tail… yet.
Eyam is not that far from where I live Mrs SD. What foresight those people had. The very definition of brave.
A friend is holding a quiz in memory of her daughter with funds going to the hospice. A bottle of whiskey donated to the raffle from Mr V's stash. He gets given a lot of booze as a Thank you for charity things he compares. We never drink it so it builds up.

@oceanspirit sorry to hear about your health. Hugs to all who are having health issues for themselves or family.
I had a lovely birthday - thanks to everyone for the good wishes. It was nice, and unexpected, to have my three children here together and some grandchildren. DS1 left at teatime with DGS2 and DGD2 and DD stayed overnight with DGS1. Tall people were needed so a couple of jobs done by DGS1 who is 6ft 4in. DD hoping to come for a couple of days in two weeks time. She took her anniversary card for end of month and her OH's birthday card with her so that is all the September cards gone. I have bought most of October and November's cards so I will get those written.
I will try and do something useful. I had both lunch and dinner out yesterday and DS2 is doing Sunday roast today so I won't need to eat all week.
915 September cards all left the house. Most of October and November ones purchased as well.

I have a garden table with a large floor tile on top - they can sometimes be picked up quite cheaply at tile shops...

Rather than let last week influence me, I carried on organising the new workspace shed.
I have so much cardboard from deliveries and I have been trying desperately to get rid using the normal waste system. I gave up today after realising it would never work and went to the tip.
Whilst there I got rid of a tons of cardboard, coffee pods, batteries and the packaging that the new dryer came in. I also emptied half the cardboard bin and took that to ensure I had enough space before the next collection. Currently enjoying a glass of prosecco as a treat.
Crafting shed is starting to come together too.

I am making up a bag to take tomorrow. I have a hat from Ibiza that I will never wear here, a dress and a book so far.

I can't believe what a lovely September day it is.😀
3 loads of washing done including wool blankets and all dried and put away.
I have got ahead of myself with items coming from the loft and going out of the house.
Going to get the hoover out and help DH with my help of where I want a flower vase mounting.

Thanks for the ideas @daisy_1571 , @Floss (& lovely cat ) & @vulpix - they all sound like viable options. I have a nice big floor tile but unfortunately it's not the right size (45cmx45cm) & table top is 60cm x 60cm - I will keep on the look out though.
edited to say "oooh just seen that floor tiles come in 60 x 60cm"!!!

Deb4 - hope your mum is soon on the mend.
Went to Church with bestie then we visited a friend in hospital.
When I got home the air fryer I ordered was in the porch. Much bigger than I thought - don't think I will have an air fryer in the kitchen on the worktop. I will put one in the utility area in the garage - I have to go in there for the freezer and second fridge anyway.
However I was not impressed when I unpacked the fryer - there was a loose screw in one of the baskets plus one of the grill plates seems too big for the basket and looking at it - the end bits wouldn't stay secure for long. So I am returning it and buying a different one. I had wanted a cream one for in my kitchen but now it is going in the utility area - I can have a black one. I will also go for a higher price air fryer.
Having a cup of tea then I will carry on with sewing cushion covers.
