Thanks @Cherryfudge. I'm working from home today. (Tuesdays I normally go into the office, but I agreed with my boss to WFH today.) I have a couple of things that have to get done and then I'm seriously contemplating logging off.Cherryfudge said:Get well soon @PipneyJane - time to curl up in the equivalent of those pyjamas and read a good book. Or are you at work today?
I have a call with an agency at 2pm about a role elsewhere. Perfect timing. (Not.) They contacted me yesterday.

Hi all, I have bought a new sheet so pleased to see no coupons required for this. The reason I bought it was because I have a bed from the Swedish shop and it is slightly bigger than the standard uk double and I have been struggling for years with standard fitted sheets, a corner always pops off at some point during the night and it drives me crazy 😁. So I have bought a king size flat sheet. I do have a very old king size flat sheet that gets used in rotation but it is 40 years old, good Egyptian cotton but it's starting to wear thin in places and isn't going to last much longer. I will try the new one and if I get on with it I will get another and get rid of the old one and the non fitting sheets 😁.
@PipneyJane get well soon and good luck with the phone call 😁
Take care everyone8 -
Hello all,
I hope you don't mind me joining again, I do hope to have a bit more staying power and stick around this year! Life got in the way last year everything felt busy...
I really do need no more clothes. So I'm back on my strict I must earn my coupons before I spend them!
I feel like I'm drowning in clothes... not only my own stuff but other peoples too, my mum couldn't get my dads suit back in the wardrobe after my uncles funeral so I got given piles of stuff to sell on.
My only needs are bras, but I do have a shop voucher I may use for those. Or I could just lose a bit of weight and the perfectly good ones in the wardrobe would fit
I also really really want to finish that jumper I started last January, it is still just a back panel!
Hope everyone is well
x I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....8 -

Welcome @frostie101. Please excuse my facemask, (I have a cold and am only popping in to collect the dog.). Do take a seat by the fire and help yourself to a cuppa. What are you including in your capsule wardrobe?
On the underwear front, I like the multipacks of M&S briefs (although my brain has gone numb re the fibre source). They do a very good flesh tone and they don’t easily show up under leggings.
Welcome back @pixtotts. Good luck selling the surplus clothes. I’m assuming it’s all your mum’s not your dad’s.pixtotts said:Hello all,

Thanks @MrsCD, @Gem-gem and everyone else for your good wishes. Although my throat is less sore this morning, the cold has progressed and, while I did the basics this morning for work, I logged out after an hour and went back to bed with my boss’ blessing.MrsCD said:Hope you feel better soon, @PipneyJane. Yesterday’s call with the recruiter was interesting. I’ve asked them to put my cv forward. Even if it doesn’t come off, it’s lifted the spirits. (They sought me out.). Work wise, in my current job, I don’t have enough to do. However, one of my colleagues went off on maternity leave just before Christmas, so I’ve added a small amount of her workload to my own.
She had a baby boy. Did I share the sweater I made for him? It was out of oddments, which may have come from my MIL or from previous baby-garment-making endeavours. (I really don’t remember.)
The pattern is the 5 Hour Baby Sweater. I was left with about 2 metres of left of the blue. (Apologies, no link because it’s no longer available on line.)

ETA: Correction. There is a free version of the pattern available, just not the version I used. A very kind lady has blogged it."Be the type of woman that when you get out of bed in the morning, the devil says 'Oh crap. She's up.'
