Morning again, seems to be dry.
Yesterday was a gloomy, dark day, so depressing.
I'm back to my usual ridiculously early start, I knew sleeping well ( for me) wouldn't last. Sorry to hear that Coxy and Silver-Oldie had bad nights too, miserable isn't it.
Belated happy birthday wishes Remmie, hope you had a lovely day.
Hope Mr Fix it will be feeling better today Nanny and stops groaning in the night! My Dh does this, he has chronic shoulder pain. Sometimes if I'm quietly lying awake, he groans. He doesn't know he's doing it, but it does give me a turn sometimes.
Thanks for the carols and festive songs you've provided for us over the last few weeks Taff. It enhanced the Christmas mood!
This week between Christmas and New Year is a funny one I think, I'm always glad when the new year is in. Over the years, we've either attended a party on New Year's Eve, or had a party, and we still stay up to see the new year in, but we don't party any more.
I'm visiting my old friend up the road this morning as usual, then it'll be the usual jobs at home.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning SCARLET and all to follow. I guess you had another sleepless night, as I did. It gets jading doesn't it.
Another nippy start here but at least its forecast to remain dry. The forecast towards the end of the week sounds grim though. Getting colder and snow. We can do without that stuff creating havoc on the roads.
My washing machine problem has me baffled. I re-washed the stuff that was still lying soggy in the machine but tried it on a lighter spin. It worked! So then tried it on the usual spin and it didn't!
Another day of same old same old, I shall be glad when NY is over and life can get back to normal. I am beginning to feel like a Buddha after all the slobbing on the sofa scoffing Xmas stuff. I have no willpower.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Or recovering from a tumble like Mr Fix-It. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. Yes, this in between time is very strange to navigate. My trip up to the big town was swift though expensive. I needed a present for the chap up the hill and his wife, always a kind of problem. Food was the way to go, made a bit more tricky as the wife is vegan. I decided to buy her one of each of the wee tins of cocktails from M&S and packets of their flavoured nuts - all labelled suitable for vegans. For him it's a good bottle of red wine. The teenager will get money and Percy Pigs. Sorted. Happy Gers. Then I forgot to buy sprouts! 😁
This morning I have to drop off my discharge letter to the surgery and a return item to the delivery office. I'll wait until it's light and a bit warmer as it's currently -2° so I'm staying out a bit longer. Lunch will be cauliflower cheese with chicken, I may get sprouts whilst in the village. More financial admin to do as I shuffle things around to simplify it all.Keep warm all, the chill will only get worse. I hope that poorlies mend soon, those who are sad have some respite and homes are tidied. Hugs to all.PS - forgot to add that one of my debit cards was used to buy train tickets online. Luckily the spend had to be accepted via the app so I was able to decline it. Cue a long chat with a very helpful bank agent to cancel the card and the other one for the second account. Good result apart from new cards will take up to 14 working days to arrive. 😳 I have other arrangements so won’t be inconvenienced too much, it’s just annoying.11 -
Morning allVery cold this morning and, yes, going to be colder by the end of the week.I'm managing to sleep in until 6-6.30am at the moment so not too bad.Going to big shopping centre this morning as I need to change a pair of slippers DH got me for Christmas. He got the right size but they feel too big. I must be shrinking, but not on the hips!Hope you all have a peaceful day xx12

Good Morning Everone
Thanks for the start Scarlet, another one here with an early start, just after 5 seems to be my normal at the moment.
Cold this morning but still dry, didn't hang out any washing yesterday as there was no wind and no sun, not enough for a load today.
Glad you managed to find some suitable presents Gers, with DD and family being vegan I have got used to reading labels and knowing what to buy. Well done on noticing the fraudulent spend.
Hope you had a lovely Birthday Remmie.
Lovely afternoon with DD and the little one yesterday, she's really into opening all presents, doesn't seem to bother that they aren't all for her! We had our usual risotto with extra brocolli as that's her favourite.
Optician's for me this morning with the dreaded drops so will walk there and back - the exercise will do me good!
Take care. XX10 -

Good morning
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, you're all so kind. Not much happening here today, I'll be recovering from yesterday. I really should do some washing, but we'll see.
Have a good day, take care.14 -
Morning everyone it’s still so dark washer is nearly finished I’m debating weather to hang it out or not it’s cold with no wind I might give it a chance . I need to pick up a prescription and I have a parcel to post . TA I’m another one with no willpower I back in to my healthy eating I’ve had to do something or I would have burst . Taff thank you for all our Xmas carols I have sang along with them as I’ve read them we don’t celebrate new year like we used to we will be in bed when it all happens I like the 1st I always feel like it’s a nice fresh start just until I muddle it all up again. Gers I’m pleased you spotted the spend I dread anything like that happening to me two of my sons have had it and both were around Xmas I think they rely on people to busy to check . Right I will go and stare at the wet washing now and make a decision. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

❄️🎀✨🎄☃️🎄✨🎀❄️
Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh
Over the fields we go, laughing all the way;
Bells on bob-tail ring, making spirits bright
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!
O what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

Morning! Again cold and dry, I have three layers on today, two didn't cut it yesterday. Turns out the difficult conversation was really easy, but we'll see if it happens, I'm not hlding my breath, but if nothing happens, I'll be taking my own steps. No idea what we're doing today, I did float the idea of a visit to somewhere but my ankle is dodgy today after a few days of standing cooking and a day of walking round various shops yesterday so we'll see.
Remmie Happy Birthday, sounds like it was an enjoyable one for you, I'm glad! Allie, I used ot have the same problem but even worse was when I would ask to be told, Oh, I don't want anything..:) Izzy, you haven't muddled anything up, being alive and kicking [ metaphorically speaking, no actual kicking involved] is athe biggest win of all
Ruby, I second the bread recipe from Floss..Right off to look at maps for suitable visiting places, take care all today and definitely wrap up warm, -2 Gers? yuk! Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12
