It doesn’t do any harm to emphasise the money saving aspect of this thread. I recall us discussing a couple of years ago, all the ancillary costs associated with drinking, particularly on ‘big nights out’; there’s the taxis, the food purchases (often quick-fix unhealthy takeaways etc), dry-cleaning bills (🙄) and so on. Even drinking at home can have its financial pitfalls, such as the spontaneous internet purchases…

Just ordered some wine with grocery delivery as we have family over on Sunday. However there was a buy 4 get one free offer so I have ordered 4. Now to resist other than the days the wine is for IYSWIM as two bottles are for the week after next. I do feel my mood has improved but that could also be related to the lovely sunshine we have had recently.
