Morning SCARLET and all to follow. Just as I thought I was sleeping a bit better I'm not. A totally rubbish night when I was awake more than I was asleep. Grr. Too much on my mind as usual.
Well they say everything goes in 3's don't they! I have been coping with my phone and laptop limping along since before Christmas but now the washing machine has joined the list of casualties. I put a small load of whites in yesterday, which washed ok, but then didn't want to spin. I'll fish the guide out when I cba looking for it and see if that offers a solution. But nothing lasts as long as it used to these days does it and I reckon it must be over 8 years old. So probably time to look for a new one.
Other than that nothing planned for today so a Slothful Sunday will be on the agenda, with probably a nanna nap at some point. I bought 3 small different joints for over the festive period and couldn't decide which to get out for today. Such decisions! I settled on a turkey breast one as for once I haven't had much of it over Christmas. So it will do lunch today and tomorrow and maybe a sandwich for supper.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning again, it seems to be dry, whoohoo, might put some washing out.
TA, I'm sorry to hear that you've had another bad night. As you know, I'm a veteran of bad nights as well, it's murder isn't it. I've tried every 'remedy' invented I think. I've had 2 good ( for me) nights in a row but that's because I was exhausted after a run of very early starts and late nights. I'm under no illusions though, I know that it's temporary. Hope you get a nap later.
Also sorry to read that your washer is on the blink, as well as your devices, hope the new year brings an improvement!
I'll pop back later to what everyone is up to today,
Take care folks.8 -
Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet. And thanks to @taff for our morning songs. The frost didn't melt at all yesterday, the temperature stayed below freezing all day so I didn't venture out for fresh veggies. It seems as if I ate mostly chocolate instead. ☹️ Starter was the four days of advent calendar chocolate I'd missed, I managed to have an egg mayo sandwich but succumbed to a small Colin log and three Baileys whip things later. Today I will do better. And I will go out for veggies too.Whilst catching up with very old films - Double Indemnity and Some like it Hot- I got on with domestic / financial admin, both long needed. My SIL in Oz phoned for a Christmas chat and, inevitably, my four young great-niblings wanted in on the conversation too. Lots of interjections about Muffin the nine-week old cat who is already potty trained (😅) and can swim. Joy and chaos in one call. These in between days are always odd, I will use them for gathering strength and watching the light creep slowly back. I hope that everyone has a good Sunday. Hugs to all.8

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet - pleased to hear you've had some good night's sleep, sadly I haven't! I was at friends last night and had a glass of wine so woke up far too early!
I've made some soup this morning but didn't have any coconut milk so will buy that when I go for a wander later. Managed to get a few bargains on my shopping trip yesterday including some veggies.
Sorry to hear your electricals are playing up TA, hopefully that's your 3 things done.
Sounds like a good diet Gers!
Poor Mr Fix It Nanny, hope he's not too sore this morning.
DD and the little one coming this afternoon and staying for dinner - risotto has been requested by the little one already so will add mushrooms to my shopping list. She has some presents here to open from me, she seems to have had lots of Christmas Days.
It's dry outside this morning again so may risk putting some towels out.
Take care. XX7 -
