I’m determined to keep the food budget stable next month. Big shops Waitrose (1.5 x monthly, £75 each time). Top up shops Asda. I love Asda, their range is great and their prices are good. Tescos are so expensive because they have everything nice. Aldi are not in a good location for me.Credit card 1891

And a slightly random £1.25 added here; I stopped off & bought a small tub of sour cream on the trip down to visit Mum, expecting to be doing a stroganoff with the leftover beef from Sunday this evening. Then got the news that DS3 is actually arriving tomorrow & staying until Monday, and DD2 is also coming tomorrow & staying until Sunday as her fiancé's off to London for a bit. Christmas part 2! Anyway, the stroganoff's been rescheduled for tomorrow as there's plenty of beef, there will be pies made from assorted leftovers on Thursday, & there's one of the enormous Welsh chickens to come out of the freezer for the weekend, so the damage to the budget shouldn't be too disastrous. That said, there will be a trip up to W8rose tomorrow morning... Anyway, it will be fun to have them here!Angie - GC Jan 26 £282.21/£400: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 40/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)4

Total so far is £61.37
Had Amaz@n bits arriving early on Monday (ones a bulk buy, but I haven't figured out how much to set aside for those, so just adding it now).
Then yesterday, Tesco shopping came. Our big store has closed for a refurb temporarily.
Then later today I have an Abel and Cole delivery arriving. As i took advantage of the MSE code.
Thanks @joedenise. It's been a very stressful time for sure.

Yes, and this place is just great if you need to have a little vent of your frustrations - we all do, from time to time and it's a valuable resource in that respect, just for being there and someone reading. Stay strong! xjoedenise said:Thanks for explaining @K9sandFelines, does sound a difficult time for your DD1.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. @K9sandFelines thanks for checking in. I've got you in the list. I was actually starting to get a bit worried about you because I noticed you hadn't posted yet. 🙂 Glad to have you here and sending you some strength during this stressful rigmarole. x
ETA: On my side, we still haven't set foot in a grocery store yet for the past week. We're heading to Edinburgh tomorrow for a day trip and I'll stop into Waitrose to get my favourite Scandi rye crisp crackers. I can't get them around here locally.9
