Probably right, does seem that this facility is available on headphones with lesser price points although there's a difference between headphones with a software solution that allows non-ambient sounds to override the ANC and headphones that just don't fit properly.

I suppose for a tenner they'd be worth a punt anyway, although it's not clear what the retail price really is as the link that was given is to a wholesale seller.

I bought quite a few and gave them out as gifts. Everyone happy, though there was one set that had poor sound quality on calling. Didn't bother to send them back.

Very impressed with sound, noise cancelling and transparency mode.
