Hmrc over the holidays

Hi, does anyone know if the Hmrc as civil servants I'm guessing; do they work on working days before the 6th of January, 31 December this year for example?

The only public holidays are Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years day (plus 2nd Jan in Scotland). Outwith these dates they will be open.0
