TSB Account

Hi.
I signed up to the TSB account where you get the £25 Amazon voucher, but when trying to register for online banking it says they are sending me an activation code by post. My partner has signed up for exactly the same account, but registered for online banking straight away, without needing this code. Any idea why this would happen?
Thanks.

Your partner has a higher profile when the identity checks are done when opening an account. On electoral register longer at that address? Name on utility bills/council tax account for longer? More credit cards/existing bank accounts?0

Oh ok, thanks. As long as that's normal procedure then fine. 🙂0

Has your partner held a TSB account in the past? Post separation from Lloyds.
I opened a TSB account just the other day, and it's the same, I am waiting for an activation code. I did hold an account in the past but between the sale and complete separation, so a long time ago. I would have thought every new customer would need the code, very surprised if that's not the cast as this would suggest.0 -
Did your partner apply on the app or through the website? Website generates an activation code in the post, I wouldn't be surprised if app bypasses this.0
