@Penny2myName , I'm so sorry that your mum has passed away. Take care of yourself and don't make any important decisions for a little while. Give yourself time to process everything. Lots of folks here understand. I'm delurking to send my sympathies to you. Hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Our local Asda did not have the special offers for Ramadan. The member of staff really knew his stock, and we discussed regional differences in what would sell. Asda 8 miles away had them.
In the tiniest print I saw that Asda Vitamins and minerals are 4 for the price of 2. If you are buying 4 expensive and 4 cheaper, put them through the till and pay for them separately, as two lots, or you get just the cheapest ones free. I have forgotten this several times.

The purpose of your post @Finstickle? Sometimes I write posts just to get things straight in my own mind, to organise my thoughts and to work out the logic behind my actions. I do this with work as well - I’ll write an email, setting out whatever point I’m trying to make, just to ensure that I’ve got my argument straight, send it, and then I’ll phone up whomever it was sent to, in order to talk it through.
You’re doing well.
- Pip

Reporting on the split red lentil situation, I visited one of our nearby MrT’s today. I saw split red lentils in 5 different places, at multiple different prices. Cheapest per kilo was the 5kg sack with the Clubcard price of £8. Next cheapest was a 2kg bag for £2.50, which was tucked away in the Caribbean section, around the corner from a 1kg packet for £2, and not far from another display were 500g packets were £2.
Most prominent was this display:
Humph!

just checked them all and they are may contain unfortunately so they can’t even use the special processing to justify different prices. Just want to find some that are GF and don’t cost a fortune (and a special trip of miles) to get them. Only ones I have found are 500g for £2 - no other size offered. Don’t really understand why lentils are not GF but such is life :)
