Topcashback Not Paying

I have been with Topcashback for a few years but now losing faith. I submitted a claim 11 months ago which was a significant claim for TUI (it was a good cashback offer possibly too good) Just before christmas it was declined stating a number of possible reasons why it was declined including clearing browsers /using other vouchers/offers. I was really careful when I submitted this one due to the amount . i now think when it comes to big cashback offers they are more reluctant to payout - Anyone else had issues with this company?

Maybe 1 in 4 cashback offers failing to track is my experience. Most of these are a £ or so, don't bother following up on those, but whenever a significant amount is offered (Santander £75 for an ISA deposit was a recent one) I'll go overboard with a restarted laptop, different browser that has it's browsing history completely wiped etc.Pippin5 said:

Check immediately that the link from TCB to the retailer has registered (starting a claim will usually show the visit) and follow up with a claim after a day if nothing tracking.
Regardless, as @born_again says, these offers are in no way guaranteed and are offered as such. Never make a purchase considering the cashback to be a price reduction.0 -
How much was this "significant" amount?
I have found TCB to be very fair in their investigations of missing cashback.
As you probably know, cashback is never guaranteed so there isn't much you can do if they have concluded their investigation.0 -
I'm not so sure about this, OP is a consumer, TCB are a trader, they take £5 a year for their services and are a UK LTD.born_again said:No consumer rights on these.
I'm sure TBC are happy for this stance to be adopted but the question is whether their terms are fair with regards to not guaranteeing the cashback.
The question is why the cashback was declined, if there is a valid reason then it's fair enough but they should at the very least be able to offer a specific reason rather than what it may happen to be.
OP it's worth pushing back and asking for clarity, if using their customer contact isn't getting anywhere their registered address is in the T&Cs.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
You do not have to pay to use their links for cashback.

Have to concur, I've had cashback reinstated (tens of £) after months of O/S claim. For some reason my car insurance, for example, never tracks, is claimed, and pays out after 9 months or so. Has happened the last three years.Ayr_Rage said:

OTOH I had a recent claim for £20 or so (Proton VPN) where I KNOW I was scrupulous in following all the usual sanitation procedures and the rules of the promotion and the claim was denied.
Some of the frustration with this is because I have absolutely no idea how any of the technology behind the cashback sites and the retailers they promote actually works.0 -
There isn’t a fee for the basic TopCashback settings.I always put it down to the retailers themselves declining to pay rather than TopCashback who are really just a middle man.The times it hasn’t tracked for me is when I’ve had too many windows open because I’ve checking out different options and then I probably made the purchase through the one that’s not associated with the cashback link. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
