The tempur pillow I had, had one end higher than the other, I had the same problem with neck ache initially and used the lower end.
It did take some getting used to but have to admit I hate other pillows now. I definitely wouldn't be without mine now (must have had it around 7 years now and still works as well).0 -
I bought a Tempur style shaped pillow from Argos for about £15. It took me weeks and weeks to get used to it and I too used the lower side for a while but like others I wouldn't be without it now and will buy the real thing when I have enough money.
I do have to have a traditional style pillow alongside as I can't get used to not being able to 'snuggle in'!!Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
Thank you firefly and lungman.
I am determined to stick with the big side of the pillow, but my neck is aching again. My GF uses the lower side to this day and she likes it that way. Anyway, you have given me some hope that I will get used to it
I paid 69.00 for mine from furniture village. They are usually 89.99 and were on sale for 75.00, but I asked them to do it for the same price as my GF paid in the January sale and they did (we were expressing lots of (genuine) interest in a tempur bed and mattress at the time - maybe that helped!)
Lungman - 7 years, thats good to hear. You can't wash the foam itself can you? but I guess it doesn't take in dirt and dust like a traditional pillow - do you find washing the cover is enough to keep it nice and fresh? I have the tempur cover and both pillowcases over mine so its pretty well covered!0 -

we have always used a pillowcase protector between the tempur cover and the pillowcase cover - we wash them regularly and have never had any problems.0 -
A pillowcase protector? So this goes over the tempur with its cover on, but before you put the pillowcase on, right? Is it like a thick pillowcase?0

Try backinaction.co.uk you will definitely get what you want at a reasonable price. I have osteoarthritis and I find the tempura incredible0

Also consider the Sealy Mirrorform mattress, you can read comments on the Back in action site. After a lot of deliberation about Tempur I went for the Sealy and have now had it a week. Got used to it immediately and it is great. Have had the normal shaped Tempur pillows for about 6 months now and found that they took a few weeks to get used to.
Manged to buy the Sealy from a local shop at £150 less than the Back in action web site, so worth shopping around.0
