Two Diesels too. Both 12-13 years old, both by different manufacturers and both affected by different emissions "scandals". One manufacturer has paid out, one claim is still ongoing.

No desire to change to anything while these are both fine for so many reasons.
• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.0 -

DieselWe had 2 diesels but then went down to one. We sort of regretted it so I got a 125 scooter for occasional office visits. Still not the most practical set-up but it does save us quite a bit in insuring and servicing 1 car instead of 21

DieselDiesel, because it had the spec I needed during covid. I'd be better off with petrol or EV but can't justify changing.0

PetrolMercedes C43 AMG, BMW Z4 sDrive30i.
I dont do big miles - maybe 6K PA and mostly short runs. So not enough miles / type of driving to warrant a diesel, and not spending enough on fuel to feel an urge to go electric or hybrid.
Wife does a fair amount of miles now in the Z4, thought its pretty much all work related miles which she gets 45p per mile for. She hates diesels, and likes a small two seater, so rules out most hybrids / electric cars.
So basically petrol cars now and in the forseeable.
Nothing against hybrids / electric cars but just dont feel the need.0 -
