UC Appointee info

I am appointee for my young disabled child. His UC and personal Independence Payment comes into my account. Not my child's as he does not have a account. There is no other money comming into this account.

In the future when UC do a review I understand that I will have to provide bank statements for the account UC and Personal Indapendance payment is paid into.

But I have other accounts for my own personal ingoings and outgoings. Will UC ask me for statements for these accounts as well?

As your child gets older, and simply to make life easier it would be sensible to set up a different account in your own name just for their benefits to be paid into. They can still contribute to household finances as they always have. But it’s easier to keep track of and to show evidence if you need to.

The bank account Is solely in my name. And the only thing that comes into it is child's UC and Pip nothing else.

Best way to do it. Keep it all separate from your own spending. As if UC do a check, they want the account info.

If a review happens then that account is all you give to the DWP as that is what is legally your child's, you are just the beneficial owner of that money.
