Morning GERS I hope all goes well today. Thinking of you. It sounds as though another drab and dismal day is in store for us. But we might, only might, get snippets of sun later.
Pretend Christmas Day for us today! Off down to DD's as planned for our Christmas Dinner and a nice surprise in that DS has now finished work for 2 weeks and will be joining us too, His DP will see how her shop is faring. If not much trade she will close early and join us. But she has fingers crossed she might get a few last minute shoppers spending big money!
I recorded King of Kings yesterday morning and watched it in the afternoon. For about the 100th time! I fell in love with Jeff Hunter when it was released in 1962., I thought he was beautiful with those mesmerising blue eyes. Sadly he died too young.
A few jobs are on the agenda for this morning but nothing too taxing! Have a good day all if you can, with ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning allHope it all goes smoothly for you today @GersWell the food shopping went ok yesterday, busy but I've had worse Christmas food shopping trips. Got the security tag taken off at the shop so win win. Got there early and left around 10am and the queues were building up to get in to the centre so glad I made an early start.Gingerbread men decorating on the cards today and the last 2 presents to wrap.Enjoy your Christmas dinner @TravellingAbuelaHave a good day all14

Good morning
Sorry I haven't posted for a while but I'm really struggling at the moment.
I've also had so many things go wrong in the house including waking up to a leak from the bathroom. I pay for emergency cover which I thought would help but they didn't want to know.
Haven't heard from DS, didn't really expect to but always hope.
Take care

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. I hope all goes well for you today xx
Have a great time with the family today @TravellingAbuela xx.I got my days mixed up - blood donor appointment is today. Luckily I realised before setting off for the venue at the other side of town. We did our food shop in T’s yesterday and did scan and pack. Had a spot check at the checkout where we found that DH hadn’t scanned a (large) item so the entire trolley had to be done. So embarrassing 😳
Good to see you posting @silver-oldie but sorry to hear you’ve had some issues in the house. Can you ask on a local FB group for recommendations for a plumber? I really hope you can get it sorted xx Sad that DS hasn’t been in touch but please know you have friends here xx
Some ironing and tidying to do today before the cooking fest starts tomorrow.Have a good day everyone

Good morning Gers, Good luck for today.
It's looking very dull out, but at least it's dry. Food shop to do today, I'm not looking forward to it but it has to be done. Once home I'll be cooking the gammon. We usually have beef for Christmas dinner but have decided to have turkey and gammon this year instead. There's only the two of us (and BD), so I can see plenty of leftovers to use up.
SO, thinking of you at this different time, we're all here for you, and to listen.
Must get on, have a good day all.13 -

Morning everyone
I got the few bits I needed in Lidl yesterday and a couple of things for mam in M and S, so that's me done.
I've got a pile of ironing to do this morning and then I'm going into town with my friend and her grandchildren.
DD and little one really enjoyed Cinderella at York yesterday, though the Christmas market had finished on Monday, she just assumed it would be on until Christmas Eve. They'll carry on to Skegness today.
Silver Oldie it's nice to 'see' you, I think we were all getting worried about you.
Right I'm going to get on, hope everyone has a good day x
