has anyone used freedom holiday homes

Hi

I am currently booking my new year holiday for this year, We are going to join my husbands family near dover and want to book a nice house for us all to fit in I have been on some sites and they want over £2000 for the week but I have found one with freedom holiday home at £1000 and it seems quite nice. They want a 50% deposit which seem a lot has anyone heard of them are the ok. I have checked there website but it does not say much and I do not want to lose my money with a dodgy company.
Would it be worth me buying holiday insurance and if so which is the best company to buy from.
Sorry to ask so much

Pay it with your credit card. That way you are protected against fraud or failure

i have only got a debit visa electron card so I am not sure if it will cover me (I am thinking not). I can not and do not want a credit card as I got out of £22000 debt 1 year ago and never want to go back there, and could not if I tried as no credit company would touch me unless it was one of the pond life companys.
But thank you for your reply
