Internal Door Lock Type Question

Hi,

Hope you can help.

My kitchen door latch broke over the weekend and will not turn anymore.

I like I have done so many times before took off the round knobs expecting to find the standard square metal pole that connect both knobs.

But this one has a semi circle that links the knobs, i have never seen one before but thought no problem I will just swap the whole unit with knobs and get a square type one.

But the issue is that they are not long enough to put the square in the correct place so I am trying to find the original type but having no joy as I don't know what my type is called. I have tried many searches in google but all the latches found are the square ones.

Does any one have an idea what this type is called so I can hopefully find one to match the existing one that is broken.

Many thanks in advance.
