We have tried most of the day to cancel a renewal notice sent by One-Direct. The chatbot directed to does not allow for anything more than renewal update questions. There are no options open on the site for cancellations, even with a direct link from an email sent regarding renewal and little to no further information available, such as a telephone or email option. Are there laws governing consumer rights of access to cancellation of an insurance policy on submission of a company's renewal document, and are they enforceable when the preceding policy is purchased online?

We’re sorry to hear you’re thinking of cancelling. If your circumstances have changed and you’d like to cancel, you can easily do so through the customer portal.”
