. I've no phone to give to my daughter for Christmas
I'd like to think that if your Daughter is old enough to get a top end phone, she will be old enough to understand the situation once it is explained to her.  Simply wrap a box of chocolates and add an IOU for the phone.
You certainly live up to your username! I sure most would feel aggrieved to not have the present they've ordered and paid for weeks ago to pass to the recipient on Christmas Day.
Sadly the wheels of investigations like this are never quick & at this time of year become even slower.
    Life in the slow lane
  • How were you going to resolve the issue then of having a phone for your daughter? Given you’ve told Sky you don’t want them to send you a replacement.

Just buy another one if that’s the main issue and deal with Sky later. I’m sure it will get sorted.

At the time on the phone to Sky the last thing I wanted was another contract setting up with Sky, another credit check happening, paying another deposit and the risk of something similar happening, definition of insanity doing the same thing again!

I'd have hoped they'd have sorted it, if I know I wasn't going to be continually charged for the missing phone therefore could sort another from a reliable source before Christmas. Bit risky buying another when I'm still financially tied to the missing phone. But it's okay daughter, here's an IOU instead - Happy Christmas!
