Ticket for trolley bay not clearly marked

Hi. I received a PCN in the post from a retail shopping centre car park for parking in what I think was supposed to be a trolley bay. I saw a car pulling out of a space and reversed into the space myself. There were no markings on the ground and the barriers on either side were broken and you couldn’t really tell that the space was for trollies. There was a sign saying “return your trolleys here” but I thought it pointing to the space behind where I parked. I am not sure if I should attach the photos they sent me so I am attaching a photo from Google Maps Streetview for now.

I appealed with the Parking company but it was of course refused. I foolishly admitted that I was the driver as I thought that if i mentioned that I saw another driver come out of that space and that’s why I parked there then it might help my case.

Can you please advise me what to do next. The company is Park Watch and they said I can appeal to the IAS. Thank you in advance.

IAS are a known waste of time for appeals so don’t worry about them.

    Hilarious twaddle! Highly misleading.

We know from the MHCLG Impact Assessment and from figures in the public domain from the BPA and IPC that just 15% of recipients pay these scumbag 'debt recovery' firms.

Not 4 out of 5. People aren't that stupid.

The worst aspect is that they are trying to extort £170 yet have linked to ParkingEye v Beavis = binding case law which actually prevents the possibility of 'escalated' charges of £170 which is double the Supreme Court tested sum of £85 which covered 'all costs' of enforcement letters.

Beavis is linked completely out of context which is meant to be banned under the Code.
