I Need a great idea for next New Year

I have 8 Aussie relatives coming for next Christmas. Along with 11 of our family here, that makes quite a few of us to cram into someones house for New Year. As there will be 3 children, we cant go for a night in a pub or club. I could do with some ideas. I did think of renting a large house somewhere like a city that has a briliant firework party, but i think it will be too expensive. We live near manchester, so dont want to travel too far, but dont mind a couple of hours. Anyone got any suggestions?

I would suggest London for the firework display at the eye. We went a couple of years ago and want to go again.
Tubes are freefor the night and im sure if you travel down by train or something earlier enough you could do some sightseeing beforehand. It is along night and walking is involved afterwards to find a station they havent closed due to number of people.Target for 12 months TV - Console - Holiday (not necessarily in that order:rolleyes: )

I would recommend going to Center Parcs, we spent this New Year at Sherwood Forest and had a great time, we were a large group aged between 15 and 55 and there was definitely something for everyone. There was a piper and a big fireworks display at midnight, followed by a street disco. There was plenty of things to do for all ages and budgets. The accomodation itself is quite dear, but I would say worth it.0

Thanks folks. I would love London, but they are stopping there on their way here early December, so I doubt they will want to go again. Centre Parcs is worth looking into though, depends how much it is. Aussies are agast when they see how high prices are over here though, they are used to paying a lot less for their accomodation. Still, I'll investigate.:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING0
