Travel Insurance via a human being, not a robot.

Please can anyone recommend a good travel insurance provider or broker with whom I can actually engage in a conversation between one living organism (me) and another living organism (their representative)?

1) I do not like seeing real people's livelihoods being usurped by robots, as increasingly seems to be becoming the norm.

2) None of the online comparison site models provide enough individual component flexibility to fulfil my specific needs.

Whowouldathunkit that, with very few exceptions, any two person's requirements are precisely the same?

In addition to which, I'm a great believer in the maxim that personal recommendation is often the best (apart from that time a close friend convinced my wife and I to watch the film "Face-Off", at the cinema and caused me never to quite trust that individual's opinion on pretty much any matter, ever since).

Many thanks.

I am sure you can phone most , if not all, travel insurance companies.

What is good will depend  on your requirements and personal circumstances.

    Thanks.

I'm hoping to receive some personal recommendations.

Quote engines arent robots, the agent will simply plug your details into an internal version of their website but charge for the privilege.

It simply requires some leg work. Assuming you are still going on about maximum duration there is a good number offering over 50 days, google will tell you. Insure&Go offer 55 days on their Black level cover from their website but there are others too.

There are few brokers who arent just a non-advisory website the same as the aggregators, those that do exist are targeting hard to place business like those will illnesses, going to countries against FCDO advice and high net worth etc. Their prices reflect their human knowledge and will be significantly above those available via websites for mundane needs

Your other post states you are looking for cover for an extended time. Each insurere has their own set limit for how long  a holiday they will cover.

Some will allow you to extend the time  for an extra charge.

No point in someone recommending an insurer who does not provide extended cover,

But if you do not give that infoprmation on the forum you could end up wiith recommendations that are not of use to you.

That is why I say it depends on your requirements.

We're with Staysure and I was reasonably satisfied when they paid up on a claim although much paperwork had to be provided (but I suppose that's the same with all companies).

As regards speaking to someone, I've never had a problem calling with queries etc. However, even if you speak to someone when setting the policy up, they'll be following a script so it will feel like a robot.

Thanks for the "StaySure" recommendation. Appreciated.
