One of my friends arranged my hen party.
She asked me prior to the event if I minded if some of our male friends attended.
I jokingly said... I dont mind, as long as they are dressed as women.
There was more men than women there... many that I didn't really know.
It was a brilliant day though
I have also been to an 80's hen weekend at Butlins.
Very entertaining experience.0 -

We went to Bristol and had an ace time.
We all went to a recording studio for the afternoon and recorded some songs!
It was such good fun!!
They gave us a couple of glasses of bubbly to help with the nerves and even the girls who wouldn't normally sing got into it and had a fantastic time.
At the end we all got a CD with our efforts on to torture our freinds with.
Brilliant!0 -
I suppose it depends on what your sister wants from her hen party - what kind of things she likes and how much the tacky stuff will make her cringe.
I have been on a great hen party to Centre Parcs - lots to do for a full weekend, a girly night in on the Friday and out in taxis to a local town for the 'big night'! Some of the girls wanted to dress up as school-girls for this but, as one my friends said, we are probably more school dinner-lady than school-girl these days so we decided on a red and black theme so we looked like a group and had a fab time!
For my own hen night I didn't want any tacky 'L plate, veil and plastic w1lly' type stuff so we booked a hotel in Bristol and went to the Jongleurs comedy club there - had a fab time!
I didn't get away with completely though - one of my close friends has gone all country since she moved to somerset and she wove each of us head dresses from birch twigs and decorated them with fresh flowers - the comedians didn't know what to make of us - a group of women wearing flowers on their heads - the compere was calling me the 'queen of the may' all night!!!
I think it is all a matter of personal choice really - I would have hated the traditional 'blackpool' type hen-do but that's just the way I am I suppose - I know lots of other people like it!
Good luck!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
The latest one i've been on, we went on an activity weekend in Cornwall. We did surfing, body-boarding, coasteering and kayaking. It was Ace! There were all different abilities but everyone had a fantastic time. We stayed on site in like a youth hostel style setting and all food was included. We still did the drinking thing in the evening Fri and Sat (we didn't need as much alcohol though as were were all pretty knackered!!!)
I would definately do this again!0 -
how about booking some cheap flights with easyjet .....dress in t-shirts with hugely witty names on them referring to anything sexual...wear pink cowboy hats ...get absolutely mullered in the airport bar and then shout and sing loudly for the next 3 hours or so.
someones got to do it before others get the same idea0 -
Hammy, you missed out them snogging with the group of just as loud and drunk 30- 40 yr old married men , on the stag weekend with the "Shagaluff for the weekend, Syphilis forever" T shirts on.0
