My partner has a good rating and as we are moving house she needs a card thet can provide access to cash and purchases cheaply. This will be paid off in a month or two as soon as our house is sold etc. So we need cash and flexibility...any ideas?

You need 2 different cards.
For cash you need a 0% "SBT" card so that you can take money from it without being charged cash advance fees. Read the "Super Balance Transfer" article in the blue box above for starters to understand how to do this.
For purchases you want a 0% on purchases card. Once again look in the blue box above for an article on the best card for purchases, but you will probably want to go for the Sainsburys card which gives you 0% for 12months. Alternatively if you intend paying it off in full each month then go for one which pays cashback (less of these around now) or other incentives (eg Tescos points). Once again consult the blue box oracle, then ask if you have any questions.0
