Gatwick Airport Drop-off

Hi all, I am aware of the fairly recent "relevant land" defence for PCNs relating to airport dropoff but have a query related to it.
We went to court with NCP some time ago (and won thanks to your support) but an exchange with the Magistrate keeps bugging and thought I'd seek your views.
The Magistrate made a very clear question to me that I accepted this was a car park. I didn't think much of it at the time, but I can't shake off the thought that I missed a trick.
It clearly is not a car park and Gatwick's own Terms and Conditions (and other documentation) refer to it as a "forecourt".
Do you think there are any implications of this label or am I fixating on an irrelevance?
