Item not required

I ordered a suitcase from eBay and it didn’t arrive by the expected delivery date.
I opened a request and was given the option to request a refund. I did this but now they have emailed to say they have just posted it by 24 hour courier arriving tomorrow. I do not want this suitcase now as I have had to buy one elsewhere for my daughter to take on holiday.
Could anybody tell me what is my best course of action. Thanks

When you say it didn't arrive by the expected delivery date,
Was this the date you wanted it for, or, the last day of the date range when ebay told you they estimated it would be delivered?

Just to clarify ,you have an INR open already, assuming that’s the case when is the escalation date?

If the seller can prove delivery before the escalation date then they can get the case closed in their favour. However if it’s a business seller then you can ask for a change of mind return on arrival, but you would have to pay the return courier costs.

  • Thanks for your replies. The suitcase hadn't arrived by the last day of the date range and the escalation date is 18th December.
The courier texted to say delivery was due today but I have changed it until tomorrow. So far I have had no reply from the seller

Would it be an option to refuse delivery?  It would then eventually find its way back to the seller.
