Horizon Parking Charge Tesco Overstay

Evening all,

I have today received a parking charge for a roughly 30 minute overstay at Tesco on the 28th November. The parking charge issue date is the 8th December. Today I have received the letter and charge, dated the 8th December, which seems a bit sus, a seven day delivery time?

I have read the newbie thread and my letter looks the same as the latest version 2025 POFA. But I am confused. Should I bother to appeal with the one size fits all template, if that's the case?

Thank you for your help with this.

Plan - A go to Tesco and ask them to make sure it is cancelled else you, your friends and family will be shopping elsewhere in future!
If the PCN was dated 08/12/25 and you have to assume it was posted same day (unless you have information to prove differently) it is deemed delivered on 10/12/25 and is in time to hold the keeper liable providing the PCN is POFA compliant.
  • Thank you for replying.

I am heading back into Tesco tomorrow to see if they will cancel it.
  • But just to clarify there would be no hope in an appeal with that template?

Which town Tesco, and is the PCN worded for keeper liability on the top back? Please don't show us asking us to check! This is what the NEWBIES thread is for. There is a link there to a NTK pictures thread. Compare.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
