Does anyone know of a better alternativ to Hargreaves Lansdown for Stock & Shares ISA's, Cash ISA's and Savings accounts?

Yes, there are plenty.Matello said:Does anyone know of a better alternativ to Hargreaves Lansdown for Stock & Shares ISA's, Cash ISA's and Savings accounts?
Although better is subjective. What do you want to be better?

That's such a wide question there are so many platforms that might be more suitable for your circumstances than HL but it really depends on the detail on what you are trying to achieve before we can give any pointers.

This is a "how long is a bit of string question".
What exactly do you mean by the word "better".
There certainly alternatives to HL.0 -
The OP may have in mind an outfit which can cover all three of these things under one roof. If so the list becomes much shorter.0

That's correct. I currently have a Stock & Shares ISA, a Cash ISA and Savings accounts with HL.DRS1 said:The OP may have in mind an outfit which can cover all three of these things under one roof. If so the list becomes much shorter.
So I am looking for an alternative that does the same.
I'm not interested in individual shares but Investment Funds for my S&S ISA.
I also like to keep my Cash ISA in there and my savings accounts.
The downside of HL savings accounts is I can't set up a direct debit so have to remember monthly.0 -
I don't know of any other provider that can offer all 3 requirements via the same login etc.
It's better to use multiple providers to get market leading value on each product.
For example Scottish Widows has no ongoing charge on their S&S ISA, free regular investing and just £5 for adhoc trades for both exchange traded assets and traditional funds (unlike Trading 212 etc who don't support traditional funds). Likely to be cheaper than HL in most scenarios. They don't however offer Cash ISAs or Savings but plenty of other places do.

AJ Bell offer S&S ISAs and Cash Savings but I don't believe they offer Cash ISAs (yet?)

If you didn’t have all your eggs in one basket you could get much better alternatives.Matello said:

Barclays Smart Investor.
You can keep all there, fund fee is cheaper 0.25% Vs 0.44% at HL, very similar choice of funds although some are oddly named "absolute return" may be called "AbsRt ACC".1 -
Absolute return funds are nothing unusual.Newbie_John said:Barclays Smart Investor.

The idea is that they will always make some kind of return, even when markets are down.
However some performed abysmally in the past, recording almost zero growth even when markets were booming.
Maybe some have done OK, I only know that the one I had in my workplace pension performed really bad.1 -

Can't see how smart investor is an equivalent to HL's umbrella service which includes access to multiple cash ISA providers, as well as cash savings.
As far as I am aware Barclays only offer their own limited range of cash isa (including a dismal instant ISA product), which I don't believe can be currently viewed via a smart investor login, although that might change in future. Not comparing apples with apples here.
The convenience of HL's umbrella service does certainly come at a price, but at the moment there is no like for like competitor.
The OP either puts up with the pricing or lose the convenience by picking more competitive individual service providers for cash savings, sipps and isas. HL remains unique in offering these multiple propositions via a single login. No point suggesting options that don't do this, if that is the OP's non negotiable criteria.1
