Im having loads of issues with the Halifax app trying to Pay my Credit Card as they only allow via the app or Direct Debits and I will not use DD's as my accounts have been abused by DD's in the past. The app just keeps failing to manage to take a payment over days and days. Ive raised a complaint for a second time now as ive been charged interest being a day late. Unless they sort this out my advice is ditch the Lloyds Ultra Card as it not worth the hassle

You could try setting up a Faster Payment from your Halifax CA to the Lloyds CC account, the account number & sort code to use (along with your CC number) are shown on the PDF copy of your CC bill.
Or you could try using your Halifax debit card from the Lloyds Pay your CC bit of the app.
Or go into a Lloyds/BoS/Halifax branch.
Or send a cheque?

The Lloyd Ultra card is great with the 1% cashback, it's only a problem here because you won't use direct debit (you can set it to take the balance, or a fixed sum, they can't be "abused" as you set the amount it takes).
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Although you could previously and still can use Halifax debit card to pay Lloyds credit card, now there is no need
Now that Halifax and Lloyds accounts all appear in Halifax and Lloyds online banking and apps, the faster payments transfer should be simple to arrange directly there without needing to enter any account numbers, though the older arrangement of use debit card, and newer of use other (i.e. non group) bank account are also available
I've not had a problem and can't understand why it wouldn't be happening
