Zavvi delivery delays

I ordered a Christmas jumper on 29th November with Zavvi and I'm still waiting on dispatch. I contacted Zavvi and just got a generic response and have also had automated system emails apologising for the delay, but no expected dispatch date.

I sent their Customer Service team a message again on 9th December and don't even have a response to that yet!

Is this normal for Zavvi and is there anything I can do except just waiting it out?

  • I'm having the same problem with an order placed 16th November and still not received. You have rights if delivery exceeds a reasonable time usually 30 days. I've just cancelled my order and asked for a refund.

You can cancel and buy a jumper somewhere else.

I have the same problem.  I have  actually cancelled the order but they say they have to wait and see how far in the delivery chain it is as they may not be able to stop it bring despatched.

That doesn't sound right to me, surely an order can be cancelled and goods not dispatched. Sounds more like they don't want to issue a refund.

If they are using a 3rd party fulfilment center, it's not that simple.

  • 9.3 Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you confirming our acceptance (‘Order Confirmation’), at which point a contract between you and us will come into existence.

9.4 Automated acknowledgements of your order which you may receive from us do not amount to our acceptance of your offer to purchase products advertised on our website.

    What will the contract cover?

9.5 The contract will relate only to those products confirmed in the Order Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such products has been confirmed in a separate Order Confirmation.

So they should cancel within 14 days of being requested if the order hasn't reached the acceptance point.

Chargeback with bank is easiest if no joy, 14 days for VISA and 30 for MasterCard, from date of payment I think.

  • I ordered from them on the 3rd, delivery stated next working day. Messaged them several times. Same automated  response. Phone number on PayPal doesnt work. Tried cancelling and it says I have no items to cancel. Have had to go through PayPal to try and get my money back and so far it doesnt even look like they are replying to PayPal either.
