SCCC is this my final decision

Hi I applied via the form to claim credit from my daughter for time I looked after my grandson.
This was June 2023-September 2024.
Sent the letter recorded on 3/12/25 tracked delivery, my HMRC app confirmed it was received by 5/12/25 (royal mail tracker never updated)
When it was received by HMRC it said processing as expected.
I checked on the app to see when I can follow up on my progress and it said May 2026 as they were currently processing applications from July.
But I checked my HMRC app a few days later and the status has changed to completed. I then checked my pension forecast and they have added credits of 41 weeks to 2023-2024 and 23 weeks credit for 2024.
Each of those years on my pension forecast now still have "Not full year" on my app but with monetary amounts to pay to fill those years, which is lower than the original option. I decided to wait until I received my letter in the post which I was not expecting any time soon, but it came today, and confirms I am entitled to the credits. I'm unsure if the years will now change further to full or I've got to pay (the lower fee) to get those years to change to full. It doesn't say anything on the letter about this.
I'm surprised I've had these updates so quick as wasn't expected to hear until next year. But the option to pay says by April 26 and this amount may increase after this date, but the HMRC app says I can't contact them until may 26, which is after the April timeframe. Is this really my final outcome or will those years change to full at any point between now and may so I don't actually have to pay to fill those years.
It's £191.95 to fill first year and
It's £506.06 to fill the second year.
I'm sure I only need to fill one to get max state pension as I'm only £4.47 a week short, but obviously I don't want to pay if these years will actually get updated at some point to "full year" eventually.
TIA

How many weeks of credits did you apply for in those years ? If you only looked after the child for the credited number of weeks then that is all the credits you will get and you will need to top up at the class 3 rate. The cheaper year will increase to £202.40 from April 26 so not a massive increase.1

From 26 June 2023 until 8 september 2024, because this is when I looked after him0

The transfer is weekly in a financial year so correctly awarded 41 weeks for 23-24 leaving you 11 weeks to fill. £4.47 per week for life at a cost of £191.95, absolute bargain, capital repaid in 43 weeks !1

So they won't change that year to full at any point and I will have to pay the £191.95 to fill that one year, which is not a problem...my forcast is £225.78, so £4.47 a week less than the full state pension that will be £230.25 when I come to claim im so surprised this has all come through so fast, given the app says I can't contact them until may 2026 and they are processing applications for July !0

Why would it change to a full year credit.[Deleted User] said:So they won't change that year to full at any point and I will have to pay the £191.95 to fill that one year, which is not a problem...my forcast is £225.78, so £4.47 a week less than the full state pension that will be £230.25 when I come to claim im so surprised this has all come through so fast, given the app says I can't contact them until may 2026 and they are processing applications for July !Your claim is for two part years.0 -
