The only problem could be (I believe) is if you need to claim on the current insurance. Worse would have been having to claim if the insurances overlapped and you needed to claim in the overlap period.
At worse it will be a hassle if you need to claim, but you will be covered so, i believe, you will be ok.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. There potentially will be a problem, a policy can renew whilst you are away but a new policy cannot incept whilst you are out the country in most cases but ultimately you need to check the terms and/or speak to the insurer. With a renewal it's considered continuous cover so isnt a problem.DaxaB said:Need urgent advise!

we were in a similar position so we cancelled the old insurance early and took our new policy with a new insurer before we went away.0
